Chennai Super Kings star pacer Tushar Deshpande Breaks 78 Years Old Record:

Tushar Deshpandey, leading star pacer of Chennai Super Kings has broke 78 Years Old Record by scoring 123  runs in Ranji Trophy 2024 second quarterfinal match against Baroda at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy BKC in Mumbai.

The 28 year old Deshpandey came into crease at no. 11  and  played an fabulous inning of 123 runs in just 129 balls. He added 232 runs for the 10th wicket with Tanush Kotian who scored 120 runs from 129 balls and given an unachievable target for 2nd inning. By scoring centuries, the duo became the second Indian pair after Chandu Sarwate and Shute Banerjee to record First-Class centuries as No. 10 and No. 11 in the same innings which took place in Surrey vs Indians match at the Oval in 1946.

Bhargav Bhatt from Baroda took 7 wickets in the First as well as second inning.  Overall he took 14 wickets in both the innings. The match has drawn.
